KTR conducts bhoomi puja for rail coach factory in Hyderabad outskirts
Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday performed bhoomi puja for Medha rail coach factory in Kondakal of Shankarpally Mandal in Rangareddy district.
Spread over 100 acres, the rail coach factory will be built at a cost of Rs 800 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the rail coach factory would become another achievement of Telangana. He further added that the factory will be capable of manufacturing coaches, locomotives, metro trains, monorail and more. "It also generates employment for 2,200 people and is a great push for the manufacturing sector," he said adding that the factory could produce 500 coaches per year.
Later, the minister hoisted the party flag at Mokila crossroads in Shankarpalli.
Minister Harish Rao, Sabitha Indra Reddy, ZP chairman Anitha Reddy, Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy, MLA Kale Yadaiah, MLC Patnam Mahendar Reddy and TRS leaders were present.
