Kothagudem: Asha workers demand fixed salaries

Kothagudem: Demanding fixed salaries, Asha workers went on relay hunger strike at the Collectorate in Kothagudem on Thursday.

The protest was launched by the CITU district secretary Annavarapu Kanakaiah. Speaking on the occasion, he rubbished the State government's policies. He said, the TRS government failed to implement the poll promises.

He demanded the government to give fixed salary of Rs 10,000 to ASHA wokers. The relay hunger strike was organised to get the promises made by the government fulfilled, he informed.

CITU leaders N Satyanarayana, Bhukya Ramesh, Jalal, Laxmi, Eeswari, Lalitha, Ganga, Punnami, Varalaxmi, and others were present.
