Hyderabad: Secundrabad BJP MP-elect G Kishan Reddy in all likelihood will be the party's choice for a berth in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cabinet from Telangana.

According to party sources, the name of Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri and Kishan Reddy is doing rounds for consideration against the backdrop of the saffron party winning four Lok Sabha seats in the Telangana.

Speaking to The Hans India, a senior party leader said Telangana is the second gateway for the party to expand its footprint after first being the Karnataka in the South.

And, "the State is sure to get representation in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cabinet. However, whether it is one or two remains uncertain," he added.

The name of Aravind Dharmapuri is also doing rounds following his resounding victory over Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao's daughter and former MP K Kavitha in Nizamabad.

However, in case the party high command decides in line with the expansion of the party in the State is likely to get two ministerial berths Viz. one Minister of the State with independent charge and one more as a State Minister.

In this scenario, both Kishan Reddy and Aravind Dharmapuri are fairing ahead of others. And, the Adilabad MP Sopyam Bapu Rao or Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar is likely to be made as chairmen for a corporation.

Adding further, sources said that BJP's Nizamabad MP has reportedly expressed that he would rather prefer the Centre announcing setting up a Turmeric Board in Nizamabad vis a vis a Cabinet berth.

It was against this backdrop G Kishan Reddy is in all likelihood to be ahead of others to represent the State in the Modi's Cabinet.

It may also be mentioned here that MP Kishan Reddy, besides as a former State BJP president was also holding other posts in the BJP Yuva Morcha. He had earlier worked with the Modi in the party.

Therefore, he would be good choice for the party if it want expansion in Telangana.
