Karimnagar: Keep ORS packets ready for SSC students

Karimnagar: Conduct tenth class exams strictly without giving scope for irregularities, Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy directed all the District Collector through a video conference from Hyderabad on Friday. Special Chief Secretary of Education Department Chitra Ramachandran also present at the video conference. The Minister discussed conducting the tenth class and intermediate examinations with all District Collectors, RIOs and DEOs.

Speaking on the occasion, Sabitha said that since the formation of separate Telangana State, the TRS government has been acting in accordance with the aspirations of the people. She told the District Collectors and officials to coordinate with each other to conduct the exams peacefully. It is the duty of the District Collectors to ensure that the exams will be conducted without any unforeseen occurrences, she added.

The RTC officials were ordered to operate additional buses so that students can reach the examination centres on time. DEOs were advised to arrive at the examination centres before the exam commences. The Minister directed the officials concerned to shift the exam papers amid police security and Collectors were advised to implement Section 144 in all examination centres during the examination. Medical and Health department officials were ordered to provide drinking water at the examination centres and to set up medical camps and supply medicines and ORS packets.

Flying squads and chief superintendents have been appointed to handle the tests. Electricity authorities have been ordered to provide uninterrupted power supply at all examination centres till the completion of tenth class and intermediate examinations. The Minister said that arrangements should be made by Tahsildars in advance to check the arrangements of furniture, toiles, drinking water and lighting in the test centres.
