Karate helps in self-defence: KMC Mayor Sunil Rao

Karimnagar: The Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC), Yadagiri Sunil Rao said that karate contributes greatly to self-defence. Speaking as a chief guest at State-level karate competitions held in Karimnagar on Sunday under Goju Ryu Karate Association, the Mayor said that students of every school should be trained in karate. Karimnagar district has national and international reputation in karate.

Goju Ryu Karate Association Chief Surabhi Venugopal said they are working hard to bring more development to karate in the district. More than 400 athletes from different parts of the State had participated in these competitions.

St George School, Karimnagar, won overall Championship. St George School Chairman Fathima Reddy, Legend School correspondent S Rajaiah, Birla Pranav Kumar, Instructor Surabhi Anvesh and others were present.
