Kamareddy revenue officer gets threatening calls after Vijayareddy murder case

Four days after MRO Vijaya Reddy burnt alive in Abdullapurmet, a Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) from Kamareddy got threatening calls from a constable who warned the officer of facing Vijayareddy-like situation if not cleared his land issue.

Scared over the call, the RDO Rajendra Kumar lodged a complaint with the police. The police registered a case and identified the constable as Srinivas Reddy working with Armed Reserve (AR). Further details are awaited.

MRO Vijaya Reddy was burnt alive at her office on Monday by one Suresh who also suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition. Gurunatham, the personal driver of the Tahsildar also sustained severe burn injuries while trying to rescue Vijaya Reddy. He succumbed to the injuries the following day.
