Kamareddy: Government aims to end poverty in TS

Kamareddy: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's welfare schemes will put an end to poverty across Telangana State, said ZP Chairperson Dafedar Shobha. She unveiled the national flag on 73rd Independence Day at Indira Gandhi Stadium here on Thursday. District Collector Satyanarayana, District SP Swetha Reddy and Jukkal MLA Hanmanth Shinde participated in the celebrations.

Addressing the gathering,ZP Chairperson Shobha said that Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Beema schemes have empowered the farmers; child marriages were dropped significantly due to Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak.

'The Telangana government is committed to address every problem, from agriculture department towater department.Farmers are provided with the infrastructure to save water with drip and sprinkler system; apart from development works under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, the government is also providing employment; 1,183 acres of land has been purchased and distributed to Scheduled Caste people under land purchase scheme; credit of financial assistance of about Rs 11 crore has been given to 3,099 women through Streenidhi Bank'.

She further added that the government is supplying quality rice to Anganwadi centres, hostels and mid-day meals in schools.Shobha earlier hoisted the flag at Zilla Parishad office.
