Kamareddy: Agra student shifted to hospital for medical test
Kamareddy: A young student, on arrival at his native village, was immediately shifted to hospital for medical tests on Monday in the district.
Deshmukh Mahadev, native of Kanthali village, Jukkal mandal, is pursuing higher studies at Agra University in Uttar Pradesh. Due to the spread of coronavirus, all educational institutions and hostels were closed across the country.
Mahadev boarded Telangana Express at Agra on Saturday (March 21) and reached Secunderabad on Sunday (March 22). From there, he came to Jukkal mandal by cab at around 2 am on Monday.
The locals informed the mandal administration about the young man entry into the village and Tahsildar Venkatesh shifted the student to Jukkal Government Hospital for medical tests.
The Tahsildar said that if the tests results are negative, Mahadev will be sent back to his native village and if the results come positive, then he will be quarantined for a few days.
Suspecting to be infected with coronavirus, doctors shifted 40-year-old Chamurti Chinna Rajaiah resident of Thippapur village Bhiknoor mandal from Kamareddy District Hospital to Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad.
In another incident, Jadav Sanju, native of Ellaram village of Bichkunda mandal, was quarantined on Friday at his residence. Ellaram panchayat secretary said that Sanju will be monitored by their staff every day till April 4.
Bichkunda mandal MPDO Anand and Tahsildar Venkat Rao said that they are collecting information about new entrants. The Bichkunda mandal team has been checking people in every house in Sitarampalli, Chinna Dadgi, Manipur, Wajid Nagar and Bichkunda.
