Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak are to help poor parents: Minister Indrakaran Reddy in Nirmal

Nirmal: Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes are being implemented to support the parents of poor girls, said Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy while speaking at Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak cheque distribution programme at TNGOs function hall in Nirmal on Tuesday.

He distributed cheques worth Rs 95.64 lakhs to 100 beneficiaries belonging to Mamada, Laxmanachanda and Narsapur (G) mandals.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister IK Reddy said the State government had the amount from Rs 51,000 to Rs 75,116 and now again increased to Rs 1,00,116.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson Koripelli Vijaya Lakshmi said poor people in the State have been reaping the benefits of welfare schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Beema, and fertilisers. She called upon the people to protect environment as a social responsibility and not to use banned plastic items. By avoiding plastic from the society, we can protect 50 percent of environment, she said.

Revenue Divisional Officer Prasunamba said 33 cheques were distributed to Mamada mandal, 45 for Lakshmana Chanda mandal, and 22 cheques to Narsapur G mandal to the beneficiaries of Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi.

FACS Chairman Ramkishan Reddy, Market Committee Chairman Dharmaji Rajendar, ZPTC O Rajeshwar, TRS sectary Satyanarayana Goud, Allola Muralidhar Reddy, Surendar Reddy, Enugu Linga Reddy, Raghunandan Reddy, Tahsildars Kiranmai, Satyanarayana, and Srikanth and others were present.
