Jamiat Ulema holds meet in Old City

Malakpet: As part of its centenary celebrations, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind would be educating masses about the objective of formation of the organisation.

Syed Mehmood Asad Madani General Secretary Jamait Ulama Hind informed while addressing the one-day session of general body of Jamait Ulama, TS & AP, held at officers Mess Function Hall in Malakpet on Tuesday.

He said Jamait was planning to organise 500 meetings across the State to educate the masses the objective of formation of the Jamait Ulama Hind.

He noted that this Muslim organisation had played an important role in Indian's freedom struggle and later establishment of democracy in India, while voicing against formation of Pakistan.

He explained the main objective of programmes was to promote Islamic education amongst the people of India in the contemporary times.

"amiat is celebrating its 100 years of formation and had played an important role in Indian's freedom struggle and its establishment of democracy. Jamait is the first to come forward to fight against terrorism since its inception, Every member of Jamiat has to come forward for overall development of India and to play important role in discouraging communal hatred and schism among different communities," he added.

Maulana Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed President Jamait Ulama T.S & AP, Maulana Rahim uddin Ansari Chairman TS Urdu Academy and others were present.
