Inspector saves two lives, HM recommends award
Hyderabad: An inspector of police, K. Srujan Reddy of Jammikunta Police Station, saved the lives of two persons who were struck in a narrow well.
As per the information, Inspector Srujan Reddy saved the lives of two persons Gollala Mallaiah and Marepally Ravinder who climbed down into very narrow-well to deepen it and got stuck inside and feeling breathlessness at Madipelli Village, Jammikunta Mandal, Karimnagar District on Tuesday.
Upon the information, Inspector, Srujan Reddy immediately alerted the Fire Services officials and simultaneously rushed to the spot and without wasting time he climbed into the well and saved them and got admitted them to hospital who are recovering now.
Home Minister Mahmood Ali appreciated the timely action of the inspector who saved the lives and is inspirational to the entire Police fraternity and wished that the Police shall imbibe such qualities and react quickly at the time of emergencies.
The Home Minister personally congratulated the Inspector and spoke to the Commissioner of Police, Karimnagar over phone today and instructed to sanction suitable reward and meritorious service certificate to the brave Inspector.
