Innovation to the fore at HITAM project expo
Medchal: Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM) is India's first green campus and it is not only hailed for its best infrastructure but for applying eco-consciousness in education also.
The institute promotes career planning and faculty development for elevating the students and the members of the faculty. The college is committed to the extensive development of technical education since its inception.HITAM inculcates project based-learning in students which provides them with more practical knowledge.
HITAM's novel endeavor is EPICS which has been initiated by Purdue University. The students indulge in projects that address the problems faced by the local community. Through EPICS, they apply technical skills to bring out a solution to the community and the environmental rudiments. The College organizes a Project Expo every year that offers a platform to the students who try to discover their technical abilities and project their competence.
EPICS EXPO 2K19 and SRIJAN – 2019, a project expo, were held at the college premises on April 13 . EPICS displayed the inventive technical projects in alliance with Grassroots Innovation Expo. The project expo exhibited significant projects by the students. There were 80 academic projects and 50 EPICS projects showcased to mark the day.
P Shivanantham, a scientist from DRDO, Dr OBV Ramanaiah, Professor, Dept.of Computer Science and Engineering from JNTUH, Dr A Rajani, Associate Professor, Dept.of Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering, V Hema Vidya Sagar, Design Engineer Manager, Xilinx India limited, Hyderabad, and Srinath, Topucharla Manager–Electronics, ABB, Hyderabad, were the key speakers of the day.
