Hyderabad: Workshop held for pvt school teachers on child sexual abuse
Hyderabad: Additional Police Commissioner (Crimes and SIT) Shikha Goel on Saturday inaugurated the one-day workshop for private school teachers of Hyderabad on child sexual abuse.
The main idea behind the workshop is to train teachers from all the private schools on various aspects of child sexual abuse like identification, red flags and redressal mechanism.
These teachers will in turn train other teachers in their respective schools and also conduct awareness sessions for students and parents. They will further act as the nodal officers for child sexual abuse in their respective schools and will be the contact point between police and the school.
These workshops are in continuation with the TOT workshops conducted last year for 652 government school teachers at the Bharosa Centre in Hyderabad.
Eighty teachers from the Khairatabad mandal have attended the workshop and the officials said that these workshops will be held every Saturday at the Bharosa Centre with an aim to cover 2,000 private school teachers in the next 6 months.
