Hyderabad: Two persons with fake police sticker on car caught transporting liquor

Hyderabad: Two persons with fake police sticker on car and number plate caught transporting liquor by the Rachakonda police here in Hyderabad. They were identified as Bharat Goud, a resident of Nagaram and Venkateshwara Rao alias Vasu Chowdary, a resident of Kamala Nagar in Kushaiguda.

According to the police, the two were posing as police travelling through the toll gates and police check posts during the lockdown. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted a TATA Safari Storme vehicle on Friday. They found two liquor bottles and a fake vehicle registration certificate.

The special operations team seized the vehicle and a cash of Rs 14,000 and other material from them. The cash and the arrested were handed over to the Keesara police. The police registered a case under criminal breach of trust, cheating and forgery.
