Hyderabad: Relief duties to RTC union leaders cancelled

A day after inviting the RTC workers to report duties, the government on Friday took hold of the Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU) office here at Bus Bhavan in the city giving a big shock to the union leaders.

Cancelling the relief duties for the union leaders, the RTC management locked up the office on the directions of Vigilance director Ramachandra Rao, Chief personal manager Kiran. The union leaders were given relief duties to look into various issues of the employees and also paid salaries despite their absence to duties.

The government on Thursday agreed to take back the RTC employees after the 55-day strike and asked them to report to duties from today. All the employees across the state are reporting to duties at their respective depots.
