Hyderabad: Minister Mallareddy reviews Pattana Pragathi programme in Kompally
Kompally: Minister Ch Mallareddy, Medchal District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu supervised the progress of 'Pattana Pragathi' in Gundla Pochampally municipality on Tuesday. They launched development works taken up with a total outlay of Rs 2.64 crore in different areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that tender process for all works under the municipality had been completed and works would commence soon. He asked the officials to provide basic necessities such as dumping yards, graveyards, parks, markets. Schools, anganwadi centers and PHCs must be renovated and be given a facelift.
District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu said issues should be identified ward- wise to address affectively. He advised people not to use plastic and remove weeds in the open areas. He also instructed them to change the bent/spoiled electric polls and hanging wires. He said the clean and green programme should not be confined to only 12 days and but should continue.
Later, cheques were distributed to the beneficiaries of Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak. Additional collector John Samson, municipal chairperson M Lakshmi Srinivas Reddy, vice-chairman D Prabhakar, RDO N Ravi, municipal commissioner Amarender Reddy, tahasildar Surender, councilors and others were present.
