Hyderabad: Milad Un Nabi procession begins at Charminar

Marking the birthday of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, Milad Un Nabi is being celebrated on a joyful note taking out the procession from Charminar.

Thousands joined the procession which is being taken out by various religious organisations under the banner of Sunni United Forum of India. The main procession started from Dargah Quadri Chaman.

The police have made elaborate security arrangements today in the wake of the procession.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and governor Tamilisai Sounderarajan greeted the people on the occasion of Milad Un Nabi. He hoped that Muslim brethren will follow the teachings of Prophet Mohammed and promote a peaceful atmosphere.
