Hyderabad: Mayor Jakka Venkat Reddy says Waste won't be collected if not segregated
Peerjadiguda: Patana Pragathi programme was organised under the aegis of Deputy Mayor Kurra Shiva Kumar Goud in 17th division under Peerjadiguda Muncipal Corporation on Monday.
Mayor Jakka Venkat Reddy and Muncipal Commissioner Srinivas were chief guests. The mayor called upon residents to segregate dry and wet wastes before handing it over to garbage collectors. "Municipal Corporation will distribute three dustbins of green, blue and red colors to every house. People should use green for wet waste, blue for dry waste and red for hazardous things. Waste won't be collected if it's not segregated," he added.
Presidents of various colonies including Jaya Ram (Lake View Colony), Urmila (RTC Colony), Prasad (Bhavani Enclave), Prabhakar (Venkat Sai Colony), Amarnath (Vishnupuri Colony) and others were present.
