Hyderabad: Mala Mahanadu president Chennaiah warns BJP against tampering reservations

Gajula Ramaram: Mala Mahanadu president G Chennaiah said that the recent comment by Supreme Court that reservations was not a fundamental right was anti-constitutional and may pose danger to the rights of SCs, STs, BCs and minorities. He was speaking at Mala Mahanadu activists' meeting held at Devendra Nagar on Friday.

Addressing Mala Mahanadu activists, G Chennaiah expressed his apprehensions that the Supreme Court ruling may be a conspiracy of RSS. Any attempt to tamper SC, ST reservations would result in the end of BJP party, he warned. He demanded that the Modi government focus on development of downtrodden sections in education, employment and political spheres. He also demanded that the state and central governments increase SC reservations up to 25 per cent. He called upon SCs, STs, BCs and minorities to come together to stage a united fight for attaining political power.

Mala Mahanadu Greater Hyderabad general secretary Madhyala Venkatesh, Yellammabanda president T Mogulaiah, locals Deva, Krishna Naidu, Gopi, Bala Swamy, Manikanth, Ravi, S Vijay Babu, Prakash and others attended the meeting.
