Hyderabad: Garbage heaps infuriate locals
Chintal: Unattended garbage has become a huge problem these days and is piling up everywhere on streets, in lanes, even in developed colonies.
Areas like Beerappanagar, Bhoomireddy Nagar and Subhas Nagar are mostly abounding in unattended garbage at all the corners of the streets.
Moreover, piglets, dogs and buffalos are commonly seen at these garbage spots and roaming freely on roads.
Residents of the area demanded that GHMC address the issue immediately and ensure that the garbage is removed regularly.
It appears that neither residents nor the GHMC officials seem concerned about clearing or lifting the piled-up garbage.
The advertising pamphlets are additional add-on to the garbage thrown on the roads. "We are worried that the piled-up garbage may result in spread of diseases," said S Sai Kiran, a resident of Beerappanagar.
