Hyderabad: Corporator slapped with 5,000 fine in Darulshifa
Darulshifa: Following a complaint lodged by Galibe Vishal, the president of Suraksha Yojana Welfare Society, over an illegal hoarding at Darulshifa, the GHMC penalised two persons, Syed Shah Zia-uI-Haq and Syed Sohail Quadri, with Rs 5000 fine each for unauthorized erection of cutout.
GHMC Enforcement Vigilance & Disaster Management (EVDM) issued a challan to Syed Shah Zia-uI-Haq and Pathargatti division Corporator Syed Sohail Quadri on Monday, mentioning "It is found that without the written permission of competent authority the hoarding or a cut out have placed, which is an offence committed under the section of GHMC Act. Therefore, exercising the powers under GHMC Act the offence is compounded with an amount of Rs 5,000."
"Any sort of defacement of the city will not be tolerated. There will be strict enforcement to ensure that city stays clear of defacement. However, our aim is not just to penalise citizens but to bring in realisation in them that we are watching them, and it should serve as a deterrent," said Vishwajith Kampati, Director (Enforcement Vigilance & Disaster Management) of GHMC.
