Huzurabad: Telugu Desam Party Karimnagar Parliamentary president Ambati Joji Reddy alleged that the welfare hostels of Backward Classes present in the State are in worst condition without even minimum facilities.

He along with the party leaders inspected the BC Welfare Hostel and Mahatma Jyothirao Phule Welfare Hostel in Huzurabad town of Karimnagar district on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambati Joji Reddy alleged that the TRS government boasted that it had established hundreds of welfare hostels for the students of weaker sections but forgot to provide minimum basic facilities in the hostels.

The officials are turning a blind eye and not taking any measures to provide facilities at the welfare hostels even though there are several problems in many welfare hostels. Some of them are in dilapidated condition and may collapse at any time, he pointed out.

The TDP leader complained that small chips from the roof are falling even due to a mild rainfall. Nutritious diet is not provided to the students in the hostel. In name of fine rice, hostel authorities are supplying polished rice to the hostels and there are no blankets for most of the

students. Moreover, the hostel in Veenavanka was shifted to Huzurabad.

due to which many students are facing lot of hardships, he pointed out. What is the use of four Ministers, who belong to the district, when they are not able to solve these issues?

Don't they have time to conduct a review meeting with the officials concerned to solve the problems faced by the students? he questioned.
