Hanamkonda: TRS government ignored the education sector
Hanamkonda (Warangal-U): The education sector in the State is in disarray with the TRS government not taking any proactive measures to improve it, said Puli Sarotham Reddy, BJP Retired Teachers and Employees Cell state co-chairman.
Addressing the media persons here on Wednesday, he said that the education sector is in shambles for the last six years due to the wrong policies of the TRS government. Claiming credit for the teachers' promotion, Reddy said that it was a result of their representations to the government.
"Even though it has been six years since KCR became Chief Minister, his promise of free KG-to-PG education remained on paper. Before coming to power, KCR reiterated time and again to implement KG- to-PG education, however, thereafter he had forgotten it conveniently," Reddy said.
The fate of higher education is also in disarray with almost all the universities are under the administration of in-charges, Reddy said, referring to the non-appointment of vice-chancellors to the varsities. This indicates the kind of focus the TRS Government has on higher education, he said. The Education Minister has no concern towards the issues faced by the education sector, he alleged.
