Hajipur village gets CCTVs

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat along with Yadadri Bhongir District Collector Anitha Ramachandran inaugurated 12 CCTV cameras at Hajipur village of Bommala Ramaram Mandal.

Cameras were installed with a cost of Rs 10.6 lakh as promised following the shocking incidents that took place in the village one-month-ago.

Hajipur village Sarpanch Jyothi and villagers expressed their gratitude to the police for fulfilling their promise.

After the inauguration, Mahesh Bhagwat told the villagers that the cameras were their property and that they should take care of them as they have been installed for their safety.

He also said the cameras will work 24/7 with a back-up of 30 days with an hour of power back up with UPS in case of power failure.

Each CCTV camera is equal to hundred policemen, Commissioner added.

He also said the villagers can report their problems to local officers or to him directly in Praja Darbaar at his Commissionerate in Neredmet.

These cameras have been connected to a network video recorder and 47-inch monitor with UPS at gram panchayat office in the village.
