Gazette on quota makes way for local body polls schedule

Hyderabad: The Gazette notifications of details of the reservations of the Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad Chairperson, Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies have been notified in all the districts making way for the polls to the ZPTC and MPTC posts.

Collectors of all the districts have issued Gazette notifications of the details of the reservations. They have been told by the State Election Commission to complete the process of issuing Gazette notification, which is a prerequisite to conduct polls.

With this the SEC could issue the schedule for the elections any moment. It may announce the schedule on April 20. The polls may be conducted from the last week of April.

According to the Gazette notification, Kothagudem ZP has been reserved to ST, Mahabubad (ST-woman), Adilabad (ST), Asifabad (ST- woman), Mancherial (SC-woman), Warangal Urban (SC), Karimnagar (SC-woman), Nagarkurnool (SC), Bhupalapalli (SC-woman), Khammam (SC), Peddapalli (BC), Narayanapet (BC), Jagityal (BC), Gadwal (BC-woman), Medak (BC-woman), Kamareddy (BC-woman), Siddipet (UR-woman), Wanaparthy (UR), Bhuvanagiri (UR), Nizamabad (UR), Sanga Reddy (UR-woman), Mahbubnagar (UR), Siricilla (UR-woman), Nirmal (UR-woman), Warangal Rural (UR-woman), Jangaon (UR), Medchal (UR), Vikarabad (UR-woman), Ranga Reddy (UR-woman), Nalgonda (UR), Surypet (UR-woman) and Mulugu (UR).

In Sanga Reddy district, out of the 25 ZPTCs, three have been reserved to ST, five to SC, and five to BC.

Out of the 25 MPPs of the district, two have been reserved for ST, six for SC, and four to BC.

The Wanaparthy district Gazette stated that out of the 14 ZPTCs, one has been reserved to ST, two to SC and four to BC. As far as Mandal Parishad chairperson offices are concerned one has been reserved to ST, two to SC and four to BC.

In Warangal Rural district, out of 16 Mandal Parishad chairperson offices, three to ST, three to SC, and two to BC have been reserved. As many as three ZPTCs have been reserved for STs, three to SCs and two to BCs have been reserved.

The Nalgonda district would have three ST reserved ZPTCs, six SC reserved ZPTCs and four BC reserved ZPTCs. Out of the 31 Mandal Praja Parishads, three have been reserved to ST, three to SC and four to BCs.

Out of the seven ZPTCs of Warangal Urban district, SCs have been given two and BCs have been given two.

Two Mandal Parishad Chairperson posts have been reserved to SCs and two to BCs. In Bhongir, out of the 17 MPP Chairperson posts STs have been given one, SCs given three, and BCs given five posts.

In Vikarabad district out of the nine ZPTCs, one was given to STs, two to SCs, two to BCs and as far as MPP chairperson posts are concerned, two are given to STs, four have been given to SCs and three to BCs.

Out of the 11 ZPTCs of Narayanapet, one was given to STs, two to SCs, and three to BCs. In this district one MPP chairperson posts was given to STs, two to STs, and three to BCs. In Surypet district, out of the 11 ZPTCs, three have been given to STs, five to SCs, and three to BCs.

Out of the 18 ZPTCs of Nirmal district, STs are given three, SCs are given three, BCs given three seats.

In Nizamabad district out of the 25 ZPTCs, four have been given to SCs, two to STs, and five have been given to BCs. In Siricilla district, out of 12 ZPTCs, has one reserved for the STs, three for the SCs, and two for the BCs. Siddipet district, out of the 22, STs are given one ZPTCs, SCs four and BCs six.

Out of the 21 MPPs of Ranga Reddy district, three have been given to STs, five to SCs and two to BCs. In Jagityal district out of the 18 ZPTCs, STs are given one, SCs are given three and BCs are given five. Gadwal district has three SC reserved, and three BC reserved ZPTCs, out of 12.

The Karimnagar district has three SC, three BC reserved ZPTCs out of the 13. Out of the 20 ZPTCs of Khammam, STs are given two, SCs four and BCs two. Adilabad has 17 ZPTCs and out of them four have gone to STs and one to SC.

The Kothagudem district has 21 ZPTCs and out of them five has been reserved for STs and SC and BCs have not been given reservations. Asifabad district with 15 ZPTCs has five ST reserved and two SC reserved ZPTCs.

In Bhupalapalli district out of 11 ZPTCs one was given to STs, two to SCs and BCs each. Out of the 14 ZPTCs of Mahbubabad, STs have been given two, SCs two and BCs are given three.

The Mancherial district has 16 ZPTCs and out of them one is given to STs, four to SCs and two to BCs. The Medak district has 20 ZPTCs and out of them one was given to STs, three to SCs and five to BCs.

In Medchal district out of the four ZPTCs one was given to SCs and one to BCs. Mulugu district has nine ZPTCs and STs got two. Reservations for the rest of the districts have also been announced.
