Free health camps helpful for rural poor: Minister Eatala Rajender

Peddapalli: Health Minister Eatala Rajender inaugurated free mega health check-up camp, organised by LM Koppula Charitable Trust along with Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences, at ZP High School in Dongathurthy village of Dharmaram mandal in the district on Tuesday. As many as 1,269 people from surrounding villages attended the health camp and the doctors will conduct eye testing for 274 people on December 23. Doctors from Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences, RMP doctors, ASHA workers and local doctors provided medical services at the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Rajendar said that doctors are like gods to the patients, suffering from various life-threatening diseases. These kind of free health camps will be helpful for poor people living in rural areas. The Minister appreciated the representatives of LM Koppula Charitable Trust along with Prathima Foundation for conducting health camps for rural people and urged them to conduct more camps in remote areas. Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar said LM Koppula Charitable Trust is conducting health camps in rural areas as it gives primary importance to provide medical services to people living in rural areas. More camps will be conducted in other villages in coming days, he assured.

Prathima Foundation representative Chennamneni Vikas said the foundation will provide medical services through mobile health vehicles to the people of weaker sections living in interior places from July month onwards and will continue the services in the future.

Peddapalli MP B Venkatesh Netha, ZP chairman P Madhu, LM Koppula Charitable Trust Chairperson Koppula Sneha Latha, Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences doctors Deepa, Ramachander Rao, sarpanch Sattaiah, ZPTC Padmaja, MPTC Sadaiah, AMC Chairman Mohan Reddy were present along with others.
