Free eye camp held to mark World Sight Day in Nalgonda
Nalgonda: The Indian Medical Association, Neelagiri branch has conducted a free eye check-up camp on Thursday on the occasion of World Sight Day at a private hospital in Nalgonda town.
Inaugurating the free eye camp, IMA State Council member Dr Jayaprakash Reddy suggested the gathering to have a regular check-up of eye for any problems and for prevention of eye complications particularly for the people suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure etc. As cataracts are common in old age, he asked the old people to go for operations at free of cost carried out by the various voluntary organisations.
IMA Neelagiri President Dr Pulla Rao said he has been conducting regular eye check-up programs through IMA and added that using advanced instruments, they were carrying out tests free of cost at the camps.
He advised the people to take care of their eyes and requested the parents to get their kids eyes checked as most them these days are addicted to mobile phones and TVs, that affect their vision.
