Fake currency racket busted in Khammam, 7 held

The Khammam police have busted a fake currency racket and arrested seven members in connection with the case.

Around Rs 40 lakh fake currency notes have been seized from one Madhar, a resident of Rajiv Nagar in Sattupally. However, the police failed to arrest Madhar who has gone absconding. The police registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the accused. An investigation is underway.

On February 6, 2019, the Rachakonda SOT has arrested 10 persons for circulating the fake currency notes in Saroornagar. The police seized Rs 31.25 lakh in denominations of Rs 2000 and Rs 500 seized from their possession.
