Drone by Telangana's T-works can travel 45 kms in 33 minutes

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as drone developed by T-works a premier prototyping centre by Telangana government can travel upto a distance of 45 km in 33 minutes. It can not only be used for delivering medicines but also used for surveying, defence applications, surveillance and more.

The Airborne Medical Rapid Transport (AMRT25), a hybrid drone was developed by T-works which began its services today. T-works said that the drone will be developed further by the end of the month to cover 100 kilometres. "The drones which are currently available should be recharged or replaced for every 20-25 kilometres but the drones developed by the T-works such as VTOL-UAV can travel upto 100 km without any disruption," T-works CEO Sujay Karampuri said.

In a press release, the minister KT Rama Rao said that the UAV has completed over 30 test flights over a week passing various parameters such as maximum range, endurance, waypoint navigation and return-to-launch capabilities.
