Domestic travel too slows

Until last week, people travelling to Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong and a few to China cancelled their tickets but now, say travel agents, that people are scared to even travel within the country.

Raghuveeran, an agent says, "With two cases confirmed in the city, many have cancelled bookings and we are receiving a lot of queries about safety at airports."

According to rough estimates, the loss is pegged at Rs 30 crore in Telangana each day.

People from the city usually travel to Goa, Kerala and Rajasthan but there is a dip in queries especially to Kerala.
