DGP Mahender Reddy praises NITW faculty in Warangal
Warangal: The dedication and commitment of faculty of the National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW) helped many a student reach pinnacles in their career, Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy said, speaking as the chief guest at the institute's Annual Day here on Tuesday.
Reddy who is an alumnus of the NITW felt nostalgic and said that NITW is one of those leading academic institutions in the field of technology, research and development. "All the credit should go to the faculty," he said.
Giving an overview of the NITW, Prof. N V Ramana Rao, Director, NITW informed how the institute grew from strength to strength over the years. On the occasion, the NITW honoured Reddy with Distinguished Alumnus award for his significant contribution towards the society and the growth of the Institute.
As a part of the event, best performing students were bestowed on with gold medals, cash awards and certificates who besides being achievers in their own chosen domains, have contributed in a notable and sustained manner to the progress of the institute.
The event started with a mesmerising sand art by artist C Jagadeesh. Registrar S Goverdhan Rao was among others present.
