Development works to be taken up in every division: Mayor Sunil

Karimnagar: As part of Karimnagar city development, City Mayor Y Sunil Rao laid foundation stones for various developmental activities with the Chief Minister Funds in Karimnagar on Sunday.

The Mayor, along with local corporator Ilendar, inaugurated drainage construction works with an investment of Rs 25 lakh in 9th division near Gas godown in Kothirampur of the city. Later, he planted saplings in the vacant places present in the division.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sunil Rao said that developmental works such as construction of drainage and laying of CC roads will be taken up in every division. The new ruling body by taking up various developmental works will provide all basic facilities for the convenience of the people. Some of the developmental works, which were taken up, were already completed and some were pending, which will be completed as early as possible, he assured.

The Mayor also said that with the funds released by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao many developmental works are going on in the city and will be completed very soon. He ordered the contractors to speed up the works that have been commenced and asked them to maintain quality and standards in the works.

Corporator Ilendar Yadav and Assistant Engineer Mohan Reddy were present along with local people.
