Dairy farmers protest seeking release of incentives in Bhongir
Bhongir: Demanding immediate release of incentives to dairy farmers who were supplying milk to Mother Dairy, the leaders of Milk Producers' Welfare Association have organised a protest in front of district collectorate in Bhongir on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, the leaders the Association stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced an incentive of Rs 4 per litre a year ago. However, even after 14 months, the government failed to provide the announced incentive to dairy farmers, they alleged. Expressing their concern, they informed that maintaining cattle has becoming a huge burden with the increasing input costs and added that cattle were dying due various unknown reasons.
