COVID-19: Cheruvugattu temple in Nalgonda to be shut till March 31

Coronavirus In Telangana: After the closure of Chilkur Balaji temple till March 25, the famous Shiva temple in Cheruvugattu in Narketpally will remain shut from March 20 to March 31 as a preventive measure to control the spread of COVID-19.

Sri Jadala Parvathi Ramalingeshwara Swamy temple is one of the famous Shiva temples in the state that attract a large number of devotees. The decision has been taken by the Zilla Parishad Chairman Banda Narender Reddy who held a meeting with the temple authorities on Thursday.

It is to be notified that the daily pooja rituals in the temple will be continued as usual but no devotee will be allowed for darshan.

Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah asked the officials to put up banners across the district announcing the closure of the temple. The officials have also been ordered to put up banners at LB Nagar as people from different districts take buses to reach Cheruvugattu.
