Condition of sick students of minority Gurukulum improving: MLA Hanmant Shinde
Kamareddy: The condition of the 42 students of Minorities Residential Gurukul School in Bichkunda who had fallen sick after consuming iron tablets on Friday, is improving, according to the superintendent Banswada Government Hospital on Saturday.
The sick students were admitted to Bichkunda hospital for treatment but due to lack of doctors and other staff, 20 children were taken to Banswada Government Hospital on Friday night for better treatment.
Meanwhile, Zukkul MLA Hanmant Shinde visited the Gurukul school. The MLA questioned the warden how the students were given the iron tablets before they could have eaten lunch. The MLA spoke with the school principal, the warden, and the school's students. MPP Ashok Patil, Sarpanch Sri Rekha Raju, AMC chairman Sandhi Sayeva and vice chairman Mallikarjun accompanied the MLA.
The RDO also visited Banswada Government Hospital on Saturday to enquire about the health condition of students. The hospital superintendent told the RDO the condition of the under treatment students is improving.
The RDO warned the school staff of stern action if they had neglected children' health. The parents alleged that the school staff was negligent in their handling of the meals for children. They also complained to the RDO's attention that parents were not given the opportunity to look after their sick children. The RDO said that the school principal will take appropriate action on this issue.
Tasildar Venkat Rao, MPP Ashok Patil, Deputy Tasildar Muniruddin, MRI Pandari and a team of village revenue officials visited the school. They asked the school staff that they wanted to provide quality meals to students and ensure that the school premises were kept clean.
They warned the school principal Amarveer Chisti and warden Razak. Officials have been ordered to look into the health of the child and not to repeat such incident again.
