Collector Rajat Kumar Saini inspects drinking water facilities in Gutti Koya hamlet
Kothagudem: District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini visited Kranti Nagar hamlet in Gattumallaram gram panchayat limits under Laxmidevipally mandal on Friday and interacted with the members of Gutti Koya tribals who inhabit the hamlet.
The Collector after inspecting the roads and houses in the hamlet interacted with the tribals and enquired about the issues they were facing.
Addressing the tribals later, Saini stressed that the government was committed to develop tribal hamlets and also uplift them by bringing in more funds and welfare schemes to their doorsteps. He further added that as part of development and to improve the education system, many schools were opened in the tribal hamlets.
Meanwhile, many tribals urged the Collector for extending sheep scheme benefits to them to which he promised to do as early as possible.
After inspecting the drinking water facility and sanitation facilities in the hamlet, the Collector ordered the engineering staff and officers to take steps to improve potable water facilities in the hamlet. He later promised to provide solar lights to every house in the village.
Executive Engineer of Tribal Welfare Department Koti Reddy and others accompanied the Collector.
