Collector Pausumi Basu reviews DRDA programmes in Vikarabad

Vikarabad: District Collector Pausumi Basu held a meeting at the collectorate on Tuesday to review various developmental and welfare programmes conducted by District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in the district.

DRDA officer and staff participated in the meeting. The Collector enquired with MPDOs, panchayatraj and DRDO staff on various programmes such as Haritha Haram, construction of toilets, Palle Pragathi programmes, purchase of tractors for village panchayats, Vaikuntadhamams and water-harvesting pits.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector instructed officials to ensure that nurseries were maintained at every gram panchayat under Haritha Haram programme and arrange proper fencing and gates to nurseries. The Collector ordered officials to take measures to purchase tractors to 180 gram panchayats as they were left out due to scarcity of funds. The Collector reviewed the developmental works taken up with NREGS funds. DRDO Krishnan, DPO Rijwan, MPDOs, DRDA staff and others participated in the meeting.
