CM celebrates Dasara at Pragati Bhavan
Hyderabad: Dussehra (Vijaya Dasami) was celebrated with religious fervour at Pravati Bhavan on Monday. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his family members performed a special puja at Nalla Pochamma Ammavari temple amid chanting hymns by Vedic scholars.
KCR's wife Shobha, son Minister KT Rama Rao, daughter-in-law Shailima, and grandson Himanshu were also present. Later, the family offered shami puja. Priests performed special puja to 'Jammi Chettu' traditionally and gave blessings for their success.
The CM watched Palapitta (Indian roller) which is considered an auspicious sign.
Following the tradition, KCR, accompanied by grandson Himanshu, participated in vahana puja which was specially organised for Dussehra. Later, he took part in an ayudha puja that was traditionally conducted by Vedic academics, and following the puja, Pragati Bhavan personnel and officials received blessings from CM KCR. He then greeted everyone and prayed the Goddess to bless all the people of Telangana with happiness and prosperity.
