City top cop interacts with patrol vehicle officers
Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar interacted with 122 patrol vehicle officers of Hyderabad City at Nizam College Grounds here on Saturday and also inspected the patrol vehicles with regard to working condition, maintenance, technical support gadgets, carrying of necessary property in the vehicle etc.
Commissioner also awarded officers who performed well in respect of alertness, quick response and maintenance of patrol vehicles with appreciation letters.
The Commissioner while addressing the gathering stated that all the patrol officers should adhere to their primary responsibilities like attending to all the emergencies in shortest possible time, carrying out crime prevention activities, conducting regular checks and surveillance on all repeat offenders residing in their respective police station jurisdiction, collecting criminal intelligence in advance for timely crime prevention and organising community policing activities for enhancing the image of the Police.
Commissioner said that there are 122 patrol cars in the city and the average reaching time of patrol cars to the spot is around seven minutes. During the year, patrol vehicles attended 1,96,206 emergency calls and daily average movement of all these vehicles is 14,000 kilometres.
