Hyderabad: Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy has found fault with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for seeking a CBI inquiry to protect former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao from the phone-tapping case. Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, the Congress MLC said that it would be surprising to see the BJP was demanding the phone-tapping case should be handed over to the CBI.

He alleged that BRS had cooperated with BJP to defeat the Congress

candidates in the Lok Sabha elections and in return, the BJP with the demand of CBI inquiry was trying to protect KCR from the phone-tapping case. “BJP leaders did not say any word until the phone-tapping affair came to light. Currently, the State police is seriously investigating the case and after the investigation, stringent action will be initiated against those involved,” Jeevan Reddy said.

He further stated that KCR can’t escape from the phone-tapping case and he should be held responsible for the entire episode.

The Congress MLC alleged that the BRS has been converted into a subsidiary organisation of BJP and both parties should stop making dramas in front of people.
