BJP demands amenities in Registrar's office in Warangal

Warangal: The BJP has started a campaign to expose the lacunae, in a bid to increase the accountability in the State government offices. As part of the programme, the BJP cadres led by Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma Reddy visited the Registrar's office near NIT here on Monday and elicited information from the people about the hardships they were facing during the registration process.

Padma Reddy said that the Registrar's office oversees transaction in three mandals – Kazipet, Hanamkonda and Hasanparthy - generates a lot of revenue for the State government. "Even though the government is raking in the moolah through registrations, it never cares for providing basic amenities to the people who turn to the office. The office didn't even have adequate number of chairs. As a result, women and old aged people are facing hardships," Padma Reddy said. It's better if the office is changed to another spacious building, she said.

She also demanded the officials to carry registrations through slot bookings only. She urged the authorities to ensure basic amenities in the office within 10 days.

She threatened to launch an agitation if the authorities fail to provide proper facilities to the people.

Senior BJP leaders Rao Amarender Reddy, Kolanu Santhosh Reddy, M Vinod, K Ravi, M Narender, B Harishankar, K Ranjith Kumar, G Anil Kumar, G Kumar, Upender, Ram Manohar, M Suresh and P Rajendra Prasad were among others present.
