Bhadradri TPS first unit synchronised with grid
Hyderabad: The first unit of Bhadradri Thermal Power Station (TPS) was successfully synchronised with the grid on Thursday and it reached to a maximum load of 35 MW.
It is found that the boiler, turbine and generator are performing well. Works on all other units are in full swing and it is expected that the other 3 units will be commissioned by the year end, the officials said.
Commissioning of the project is getting delayed due to the extreme weather conditions and non-availability of professional labour at site, they mentioned.
Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Genco D Prabhakar Rao has congratulated chief engineers of Bhadradri TPS Balaraju, Srinivas and their teams for synchronising the unit with the grid.
Directors of Genco Sachidanandam, Lakshmaiah, TRK Rao and Jagat Reddy were present at the synchronisation programme. Executive director of BHEL Subhash Chakravarthy and others were also present.
