Bhadrachalam: ITDA head calls for improving education quality in Gurukulam schools

Bhadrachalam: The Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Officer VP Goutham on Thursday directed the headmasters to provide quality education to tribal students studying in Gurukulam schools. The Project Officer along with Deputy Director (Tribal Welfare) Zahiruddin conducted a meeting with Gurukulam school headmasters and Assistant Tribal Welfare officers under ITDA limits.

Addressing the officials, the PO said everyone should strive for providing quality education in schools. He informed that Gurukulam management committees would be constituted to monitor the affairs of schools, and parents of the students would be made members of the committee. The management committees would play a key role in the development of schools, he said.

Adding that no teacher should go on leave, the PO warned of strict action against teachers who flout the rules. He also ordered the Deputy Director to change the wardens as per the rotation programme. He suggested the teachers to visit at least five villages near their school during Dasara holidays and interact with villagers and get feedback about the schools.

Executive Engineer Koti Reddy, District Sports Officer P Shankaraiah and headmasters attended the meeting.
