Karimnagar: Attacking the houses of RTC JAC leaders is unfair and undemocratic, alleged Communist Party of India (CPI) district joint secretary Koyyada Srujan Kumar.

Extending their support to the RTC employees' strike, the CPI leaders had participated in the dharna in front of bus depot-I in Karimnagar on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, party district joint secretary K Srujan Kumar alleged that the TRS government is behaving ruthlessly against the RTC employees, who are on strike from the past 43 days, without solving their issues.

When the RTC JAC leaders Raja Reddy and Ashwathama Reddy were on indefinite hunger strike demanding the government to solve their issues, the government with police power attacked their houses and shifted them to hospital, which is undemocratic, he criticised.

'The State government is trying to suppress the agitation using police power and lodging illegal cases against the RTC JAC leaders for creating panic among the RTC employees and their family members. The police personnel are arresting the RTC JAC leaders like thieves from their houses, Srujan alleged.

The CPI leader demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to call the RTC JAC leaders for discussions and solve their problems, at least after observing the suffering of RTC employees.

CPI leaders P Raju, B Thirupathi, B Sada Shiva, CITU leaders B Shekar, K Agaiah, RTC JAC leaders T R Reddy, Razaq, Munindar, SM Chary, Sunitha, Sucharitha, Sabitha and Shravan were present along with others.
