Arrest of RR district CPM leader strongly flayed

Abdullapurmet: Mandal CPI(M) unit on Sunday strongly criticised the arrest of Ranga Reddy district party secretary Pagadala Yadayya, who is a former ZPTC member and MPP, after 'foisting false cases'.

The mandal unit leaders said at press conference here that the arrest was part of a 'political conspiracy and an attempt by the TRS government to suppress the Communists in the mandal'.

They contended that Yadayya was 'deliberately' sent to jail after he addressed the panchayat as an elder and was accused of 'preventing the police from discharging duty'. The leaders asserted that going to jail and arrests were not new for the Communists and that they would rise after being subjected to suppression.
