AP government to bear medical expenses of engineering graduate

Hyderabad: AP government has come forward to bear the medical expenses of P Kubra, the 23-year-old engineering graduate, who was injured in the Biodiversity flyover car crash and presently undergoing treatment at Care Hospital, HiTec city.

Kubra hails from Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh and she was in Hyderabad for attending a job interview before tragedy struck on her.

According to hospital superintendent Dr Gopi Krishna, a team from the AP government contacted them on Monday and enquired about health condition of the girl and surgeries required and treatment costs.

He said that officials from the AP CMO had also contacted them and they gave an estimate which was forwarded to the government.

In the evening, a LC (Letter of Credit) for Rs 3.6 lakh was issued by AP CM's office towards medical expenses of Kubra. The letter was issued by Dr M Hari Krishna, special officer to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The treatment costs would be borne under Dr YSR Aarogyasri scheme.
