Amrutha Fertility Centre organises Walkathon in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: Assistant Collector and District Revenue Officer Pravinya, IAS, flagged off 5K Walkathon at Amrutha Fertility Centre in Karimnagar on Saturday. The walkathon concluded at SRR College grounds.
Speaking on the occasion, Pravinya said that chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, infertility and many others are more prevalent now than ever and most of these health issues can either be prevented or fairly well-controlled by lifestyle modifications.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched 'Fit India' movement to promote health and fitness for building a healthier and happier nation, she stated. While Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is building a healthy society in Telangana through his welfare schemes and development, she added.
IMA State vice-president BN RAO ascertained that Amuratha Fertility Centre is strongly supporting this notion and as part of Fit India initiative, they had organised the first Walkathon.
