Admit patients from districts in private medical colleges: Eatala Rajender
Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender has directed officials to take steps to admit corona positive patients from districts in nearby private medical colleges thus reducing burden on hospitals in Hyderabad. He asked them to submit everyday status report on this.
In view of allegations levelled that doctors and medical staff were leaving patients unattended, Eatala directed Director of Medical Education to ensure that medical teams are always available for patients and they should also test patients' condition thrice every day. Also, the health minister told officials to call patients who are in home isolation twice (morning and evening) and enquire their health condition.
If anyone requires medical treatment, doctors should be sent to their homes, he said at a review meeting with senior officials on Tuesday. Also, Eatala directed TSMSIDC to ensure all health facilities in Telangana, right from PHCs to tertiary hospitals, have adequate medicine stocks and the needed medical equipment. With the arrival of monsoon season seasonal health issues including fever cases will be reported, the minister said and warned the officials that he should not get complaints of lack of medicines and drugs in any health facility in the State.
