39 vehicles seized during cordon & search operations

Bhoodan Pochampally (Yadadri- Bhongir): The police under the supervision of Bhongir zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Narayana Reddy has conducted a cordon and search operation at Laxman Nagar, Sai Nagar, Weavers Colony and Madava Reddy junction in Bhoodan Pochampally mandal headquarters in the district on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to the media, the DCP informed that police have seized 35 two-wheelers, three auto-rickshaws and one four-wheeler as the owners failed to produce valid vehicle registration papers.

He also informed that police have seized banned Gutka packets, two unauthorized LPG cylinders, liquor from belt shops and filed cases on persons concerned. He further informed that cordon and search operations were being carried out in the district in view of upcoming Parliament elections.

Along with cordon and search operations, flag marches will be conducted in sensitive areas in the district to build confidence among the voters, he added. He advised the people to cast their votes without fear and urged them to inform the police about the illegal activities to reduce crime rate in the district.
