3 ganja peddlers held in Mulugu

Mulugu: The police arrested three persons, who were involved in ganja peddling at Venkatapur mandal headquarters on Monday. The trio also involved in selling fake gold and diamonds. The police recovered 110 kg of ganja, one pistol, four fake diamonds, two fake gold coins, a car and Rs 1.10 lakh cash from them.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Sai Chaitanya said that the accused have been identified as Ibrahim Baba, D Veeranna and Nakka Ravi Chander. The trio has been selling fake gold and diamonds luring the people in the name of cheaper prices. The gang was also involved in peddling ganja.

Acting on credible information, the police raided a poultry farm belonging to Ibrahim Baba located between Venkatapur and Palampet and recovered the ganja. Thirupathi, who used to supply fake gold and diamonds to the trio, is at large, the police said.

Mulugu Inspector Devender Reddy, RI Swamy and Venkatapur sub-inspector Narahari were among others present.
